bon jour chic peas! long time, no chat. today i have a brand new type of post to introduce – steal her style. i have a major frustration with pinterest in that it’s always impossible to figure out where an item someone’s wearing is from. i mean, clicking on the picture should totally take you to all of the websites to easily purchase- non? anyways, i consider myself a pretty serious shopping sleuth- so I will now be trying to break down certain street style pics into items for us to easily ‘steal’ – either the original items or similar substitutes. wish me luck!
the first up is one of my favorite looks- Vogue editor Giovanna Battaglia – wearing an elegant tweed shift. the simple shape of the dress somehow is completely enough to make the look. perfect for a summer day at work or a fancy ladies- who- lunch ensemble. i’m sure hers is Chanel or someone equally fabulous.
steal her style:
- this zara tweed dress is an identical style in a lighter shade (the raw edges are perfection- click the link to see better detail)
- wear with an equally simple nude heel (love these too!)
- add a colorful watch, like this one (from target!) for a little arm party
- and a printed clutch to spice things up (the snakeskin one is DVF, stripes is by loeffler randall- a fellow UVa gal)
- make the whole thing more glamorous with some cat eye sunnies by Tom Ford
- finish off with a simple gold ring – swoon
ta-da! there you have it. kid tested and vogue-editor approved! what do yall think of my copy cat look?
